Most marketing internships hand you someone else's spreadsheet. This one hands you a channel and a budget.
Lumi is a palm sized device that sits on your desk and takes your phone's attention away while you work. Between September and February it goes from prototype, to Kickstarter, to on sale in a shop. You would be running acquisition for all three.
Remote · eight places on the crew · filled in the order people apply
The next six months at Lumi
Eight places on the crew, filled in the order people apply. Start now and you are here for all of it.
The first channels go live and the crew starts forming.
Creators get briefed and the paid grid switches on.
The prelaunch push, then campaign week itself.
Launch week, across every channel at once.
What you would actually own
You own a channel. Not assist on one. Own it: the strategy, the budget, the numbers, and the call to kill what is not working.
What you can claim afterwards
A case study with real numbers. Your channel, your budget, your cost per acquisition, what you scaled and what you killed, written up as a document you keep. You have our permission to use the real figures in interviews. Most startups will not.
A title, not “intern”. You join as the lead on your channel, and that is what goes on your CV and your LinkedIn. It is also what we confirm if an employer calls.
A launch story nobody your age has. Prototype to Kickstarter to shelf in six months. Almost no marketer runs acquisition on a physical product before they graduate.
A reference from both founders, plus a LinkedIn recommendation, built from your own logged numbers so every claim in it is one we can prove.
Commission
10% if you join in September, 7% in October, 5% from November, on February sales you personally bring in. Being straight with you about the size of it: that is about £5.40 a unit at the September rate, on the price before VAT. We track what comes in through you from your first week, so what you have earned is never a matter of opinion. Your rate is fixed by the month you start and never drops.
Beyond commission the role is unpaid, and we would rather put that in plain words than bury it. We are pre launch and not in a position to pay salaries yet.
