behind the brand

Focus, with a face.

zzz

The phone cannot police itself. Focus needs a physical anchor outside the screen.

behind lumi

We started Lumi because we were building it for ourselves. We're students who open the phone to check one message and surface thirty minutes later. The phone we studied with was the thing stopping us studying.

We tried everything first. Focus apps worked for a week, then the streaks stopped mattering. Flora is fun, but it lives inside the thing that distracts you. Brick is real commitment, but it only takes things away. So we built the missing thing, and blocking turned into a relationship.

The strongest part of everything we tried, plus the one thing none of them had

from Brick

Physical commitment

Tapping a real object makes starting a deliberate act, not a swipe you can undo.

from Flora

Rewards & friends

XP, streaks and friendly competition make finishing worth it.

from Pomodoro

Structure

Timed sessions and breaks give every study block a clear shape.
