The product

Name: Lumi
What it is: a palm-sized focus device, 75 × 65 × 40 mm. It talks to your phone over Bluetooth Low Energy and charges over USB-C.
Model number: listed here once it is assigned
Status: in development. Reservations are open. The first finished units are planned to ship in February 2027.

Declarations of conformity

Lumi hasn't been tested by a lab or certified yet. Before the first finished units ship, it will be tested for radio, electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety. Until then, Lumi carries no CE or UKCA mark.

The full EU declaration of conformity under the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU will be published on this page before the first finished units ship. So will any UK declaration needed under the Radio Equipment Regulations 2017, the radio frequency bands and the maximum radio power.

Battery

Lumi runs on a rechargeable lithium battery. Its capacity, its UN 38.3 transport test summary and, if they apply, the steps to remove and replace it will be published here before the first finished units ship.

Recycling and disposal

Don't put Lumi or its battery in household waste. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means an item has to be collected separately.

Take it to an electrical waste collection point, such as your local recycling centre. Many shops that sell electricals take small ones back for free.

Lithium batteries can start fires in bin lorries and recycling plants. Don't cut or force Lumi open to reach the battery. Hand it in whole, unless this page gives steps to take the battery out. If it does, recycle the battery at a battery collection point. Many shops that sell batteries have one.

Our take-back details and producer registration numbers for each country will be listed here once we are registered.

Safety and contact

If a Lumi gets very hot, swells or smells of burning, unplug it, stop using it and email us.
