Win a Lumi: rules and privacy

This is a free prize draw for a Lumi, run by Nestra Brands OÜ. Joining the Lumi waitlist enters you, and no purchase is needed. These rules explain who can enter, how the draw works and how we use your data.

The short version

  • Free to enter. No purchase needed.
  • Open to people aged 18 or over who live in the UK or the EU, except Italy.
  • Closes at 23:59:59 UK time on Friday 20 November 2026. We pick the winner on Monday 23 November 2026.
  • One Lumi to win, a second if 1,000 or more people are in the draw and a third at 3,000 or more.
  • Each friend who joins with your link can give you one more entry, up to 10.

1. Promoter

The promoter is Nestra Brands OÜ, registry code 17594669, Masina tn 22, Tallinn 10113, Estonia. Email hello@get-lumi.com.

2. Dates

  • The draw opens at 13:38 on Saturday 10 October 2026 UK time.
  • It closes at 23:59:59 UK time on Friday 20 November 2026.
  • Entries are timed by when our system receives them. Late entries don't count, and there are no extensions.
  • We pick the winner on Monday 23 November 2026.

3. Who can enter

You can enter if you're 18 or over and you live in:

  • the UK, which here means England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, or
  • an EU member state other than Italy: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain or Sweden.

The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aren't included.

You can't enter if you are:

  • on the staff or crew of Nestra Brands OÜ or Horizon
  • the creator of the Lumi Kickstarter campaign
  • the independent person who witnesses the draw
  • in the same household as any of these people.

We check the winner's age and address before the prize is sent.

4. How to enter

  • Join the waitlist. Put your email into any Lumi waitlist form on get-lumi.com. You'll get Lumi emails from Nestra Brands OÜ about the launch and Kickstarter. You can unsubscribe any time and keep your entry.
  • Or enter by email, with no marketing emails. Email hello@get-lumi.com with the subject "Lumi draw entry". Include your name, your country and a line saying you're 18 or over. We'll reply with your link, and we won't add you to our marketing emails.
  • If you're already with us, you're in. If you were on the Lumi email list before the draw opened, or you reserve a Lumi before the draw closes, we enter you automatically. If you were with us before the draw opened, we tell you by email first. To be left out, reply "out" to that email or email us. If you unsubscribed before the draw opened, you aren't entered automatically, but you can enter in either way above.

Ordered from us but never joined the list? Email hello@get-lumi.com with "Lumi draw entry" to make sure you're in.

Each person gets one entry, however they enter and however many times they sign up, plus any referral entries in section 5. Different versions of one email address, such as a "+" tag or extra dots in a Gmail address, count as the same person. No purchase is needed. A £10 (€10) reservation gives you one entry, the same as everyone else, and a refund doesn't remove it.

5. Referral entries

When you join, you get your own link, for example https://get-lumi.com/?ref=w-1a2b3c4d. You can see yours any time on the find your draw link page. Only pass it to people who'd want to hear about Lumi.

Each friend credited to you gives you one more entry, up to 10 extra entries. A friend is credited to you only if all of these are true:

  • They joined the waitlist between the opening and the close. Reserving on its own doesn't count.
  • They're new to us. Their email address wasn't already on our list or in our customer records.
  • Your link was the most recent friend's link they used. Each friend is credited to one person only.
  • They joined on the page your link opened, before going to another page. If they had accepted cookies on get-lumi.com, joining on another page or on a later visit within 30 days counts too.
  • They're a different person from you, and they weren't already in the draw.
  • Their email address isn't from a throwaway email service.

A friend who enters by email instead gets their own entry, but doesn’t credit anyone.

If one of your referral entries is picked in the draw, we also check that:

  • the friend's welcome email didn't bounce
  • they opened or clicked a Lumi email, or replied to one
  • they're 18 or over and live somewhere that can enter.

If that's unclear, we email them once to ask them to confirm. Referrals that aren't confirmed don't count, and self-referrals and fake sign-ups are removed.

Codes are made from email addresses with a fixed formula, so anyone who knows an email address can work out its code. A code doesn't show the address, but it isn't a secret.

6. Prizes

  • One Lumi. A second Lumi if 1,000 or more people are in the draw at the close, and a third if 3,000 or more are.
  • To count people, we take everyone in the draw at the close, including people entered automatically. We remove test, staff, duplicate and fraudulent entries. Each person counts once, so extra referral entries don't add to the count, and we count before any winner's eligibility check. We publish the count on 21 November.
  • Each prize is one Lumi in your pick of the colours we make. Lumi’s standard price is £52 (€61).
  • Prizes are expected to ship in February 2027, with the launch batch.
  • If we can't deliver a Lumi, we'll award a reasonable equivalent of similar value. There's no other cash alternative.
  • One prize per person.
  • You pay nothing to receive your prize: no postage, duties or taxes.

7. The draw

We draw on Monday 23 November 2026, at random, in a way anyone can check. An independent person witnesses it. They aren't on the staff or crew of Nestra Brands OÜ or Horizon, and they didn't create the Lumi Kickstarter campaign. They don't share a household with any of these people either.

  1. We put every entry into one file, one line per ticket. Each line has a customer number, a ticket number and the code, and a referral ticket also has the friend's customer number. There are no names or email addresses in it.
  2. On Saturday 21 November we publish the file's SHA-256 hash, the number of people and the number of tickets on the winners page, and email them to the independent person. The hash is a fingerprint of the file: if anything in the file changed, the hash would change too. We never publish the file itself.
  3. On 23 November the draw script shows the file's hash, and the witness checks it matches the one we published.
  4. The witness picks a whole number of their own.
  5. We take the random value from drand, a free public randomness service, for its first round after 12:00 UTC on 23 November. Nobody can know this value in advance.
  6. The file's hash, the witness's number and the drand value are combined into one seed. Each ticket gets a score made from the seed, its customer number and its ticket number, and the tickets are ranked from the lowest score up. Anyone can re-run this.
  7. We go down the ranking. We skip anyone already picked, and any referral ticket whose friend doesn't meet the conditions in section 5. The first valid people we reach win, one for each prize. Everyone after them goes on a reserve list, in order.
  8. The witness signs the ranking and a summary of the counts.

There's no redraw. If an entry turns out to be invalid after the draw, we skip it and use the next one in the ranking.

8. Winners

  • We contact winners by email only, and try up to 3 times over 14 days.
  • To claim, you reply with your date of birth and delivery address. There's nothing to pay. We may ask for ID if we're unsure about your age or address, and we delete it once the prize is delivered.
  • If a winner doesn't reply within 14 days, or can't enter under these rules, the prize goes to the next person on the reserve list.
  • Once a winner accepts and passes the checks, we publish their name on the winners page. For a UK winner that's their surname and county. For an EU winner it's their surname and region, with their consent. We add the final count and the number of prizes, and aim to do this within 30 days of the draw.
  • If you win and object to being named, we won't publish your name. We may still give it to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) if it asks.

9. Your data

Who's responsible. Nestra Brands OÜ, at the address in section 1, is the controller of the data used for this draw. Contact us at hello@get-lumi.com.

What we use. Your email address. The date you joined, the page you joined from and the friend's link you used, if any. Your code, which is made from your email address. If you enter by email, your name, your country and what you write. If you win, your name, date of birth and delivery address, and ID only if we need it. If the extra entry you earned a friend is picked, whether our emails to you bounced and whether you opened, clicked or replied to them.

Why we use it, and the legal basis.

  • Sending Lumi emails about the launch and Kickstarter: your consent. You can unsubscribe any time and keep your entry.
  • Running the draw, which means counting entries, crediting friends, picking and checking winners and sending prizes: to carry out these rules, which you accept by entering.
  • Removing fake and duplicate entries, and keeping records that show the draw was fair: our legitimate interest in a fair draw.
  • Publishing the winner: for UK winners, our legitimate interest and the UK advertising rules, which expect us to show who won. For EU winners, their consent.

Who receives it.

  • Shopify, which runs our shop, our waitlist and our emails.
  • Google, through Google Sheets and Apps Script, where we keep a working copy of the waitlist and count the draw.
  • A view counter we run on Google Apps Script. It counts how often the draw pop-up is shown, opened, closed and used, by page and by phone or computer. It uses no cookies and stores no identifiers.
  • Couriers, who get the winner's name and delivery address.
  • The independent person, who sees customer numbers and codes only, never names or email addresses.

Transfers. Shopify and Google may process data outside the UK and the EEA, for example in Canada or the United States. When they do, they use the protections the law requires, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your device. The draw pop-up stores nothing on your device unless you accept cookies, with one exception. When you press the button to join, it keeps a short note in your browser's session storage so the page can show your link after it reloads. The note goes when you close the tab. The find your draw link page works only in your browser and sends nothing.

How long we keep it.

  • Draw records and free-route emails: 12 months after the close, so until 20 November 2027. Draw records are the Shopify exports we build the draw from, the entries file, the list of removed entries, the drand round, the signed ranking and the draw script.
  • A winner's ID: deleted once the prize is delivered.
  • Your waitlist sign-up: until you ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops the emails.

Referral data. When a friend joins with your link, we record your code with their sign-up. We use it only to credit your entries and to spot self-referrals and fake sign-ups. We don't tell you who joined with your link, and we don't show entry counts.

Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to get a copy of it, to limit how we use it, or to object to how we use it. You can withdraw your consent to emails any time with the unsubscribe link in any Lumi email. If you ask us to delete your data before the draw closes, your entry is withdrawn, because we can't run the draw without it. If someone signed you up without asking, use the "Didn't sign up?" link in the welcome email or write to us, and we'll delete the address. To use any of these rights, email hello@get-lumi.com. We reply within one month.

Complaints. You can complain to Estonia's data protection authority, the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (AKI, aki.ee), or to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO, ico.org.uk). If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

For everything else on get-lumi.com, see our privacy policy.

10. Platforms

This draw isn't run, sponsored or endorsed by Meta, Instagram or Facebook. By entering, you release them from any liability for it.

11. Law

These rules are governed by Estonian law. If you live in the UK or in an EU country other than Estonia, you keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live. You can also use your local courts. Nothing in these rules limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Updated 17 October 2026: section 6 now gives Lumi’s current standard price, and section 4 the deposit in euros. The prize, the dates and everything else are unchanged.
